EiAbroad Global Internship program offers a broad range of internship opportunities in each of our global internship locations. Our deep relationships with the world’s most innovative and impactful companies and organizations, allows our interns a unique opportunity to gain valuable  work experience to help grow their career both professionally and personally.
Experiences International understands how cultural immersion experiences shape and inspire the minds and careers of tomorrow’s leaders. EiAbroad further differentiates itself through the facilitation of a unique Professional Development Curriculum. Developed by industry professionals and educational officials the EiAbroad professional development curriculum equips interns with critical tools, resources and coaching enabling them to excel on personal, cultural, and professional levels. The Professional Development Curriculum is organized into three main stages: 1.) Pre-Experience 2.) Orientation and 3.) Continued Development

Pre Experience

General Preparation & Coaching: One on One guidance from EiAbroad team of industry professionals based in the internship host city to help prepare candidates for the upcoming internship experience.

Day One: “Hit the Ground Running”- Virtual Workshop: Interns will master ways to make the best first impression and present themselves in a professional and authentic manner on day one.

Suggested Reading List: A comprehensive list compiled by EiAbroad and its respected employers that challenges inters to educate themselves on leadership principles, engaging in entertaining travel novels, delve into tales of cultural immersion and begin to think about how they will develop themselves over the course of the experience.

Orientation

Phase 1- Let’s Begin: Understand how cultural, professional, and personal influences will shape your expectations abroad. Work with your EiAbroad coordinator to create achievable goals. In addition, set knowledge, skill and professional objectives.

Speed Networking: Practice the art of networking with other interns in a fun, social setting.

Business Writing & Email Etiquette Workshop: Master the fundamentals of business writing and communicating electronically.

Phone Etiquette Workshop: Command presence and communicate professionally over the phone.

“Own You Experience” Roundtable Discussion: Build your personal brand, explore networking opportunities and embrace relationships with mentors.

Continued Development

Coaching: Individualized mentoring and guidance from your EiAbroad coordinator. He or she will work closely with you to help you maximize strengths, address areas of concern and create opportunities for success throughout the experience and beyond.

Phase 2- Mid-Point & Self Evaluation: Assess your progress and reflect on initial goals. Think about what you hope to accomplish for the remainder of your internship. Explore your strengths and weaknesses and leverage the right resources to continue to have a successful experience. You will have the chance to discuss your progress with your EI Mentor in a one-on-one meeting.

Events & Excursions: Challenge yourself culturally and forge relationships with peers and employers.

Resume Workshop: Improve the style, format and content of your resume to best position yourself in the next stages of your career search. Consider how you will articulate your EiAbroad experience to future employers.

Phase 3- Closing Time & Exit Interviews: Formally reflect on progress made, goals set and lessons learned. Discuss full- time employment opportunities. Work with your EiAbroad mentor to best leverage relationships built over the course of the program and prepare for future job opportunities.

Accounting

EiAbroad host companies in accounting will provide interns the opportunity to obtain firsthand experience in the accounting field. Individual responsibilities vary between firms with general tasks including creating invoices and processing payments, , bookkeeping, audits, analysis, and research. Accounting internships are an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to pursue careers in accounting.

Architecture 

EiAbroad architecture internships provide interns a unique opportunity to gain experience in the ultra competitive architecture industry. Architecture internships will provide interns with first hand experience in the various aspects of architecture design. Individuals will gain experience using CAD software, visualizations and renderings. Tasks may also include assisting team in meetings  and office duties.

Communications internships are exciting opportunities offering experiences in a broad range of fields with placements including strategic communication firms, Studios and Film. Interns will gain experience in all facets of communications. Tasks may include researching programs, working in teams on corporate communications, preparing briefs for use during interviews, and assisting on shoots out in the field.

Education

Event Planning
