The Frequently asked questions have been devised to ensure transparency, consistency and understanding and to give interns, study abroad students and employers an idea of the expectations during the experience.
+ What is Experiences International?
Experiences International (EiAbroad) is an online community connecting talent and employers through internships, study abroad, professional development and personal enrichment services.
+ What type of companies host interns?
Our affiliate companies are a combination of multinational companies such as Luis Vuitton, Bottega Venetta, Theory, Custo and London Global Investments as well as smaller, regional firms. Our unique combination of companies ensures we can place you in an ideal situation to maximize your potential.
+ How does the matching process work?
The matching process is a collaborative multi-phase process. In the first phase, candidates indicate their objectives in their application, EI questionnaire, and interview. In Phase two, EiAbroad program directors present opportunities to candidates and send their resumes and profiles to employers based on the candidates’ listed preferences. Host companies will then conduct interviews and extend offers to the candidates. Phase 3 is the internship match, where candidates will speak with employers on specific details about the internship (i.e. dress code, hours, responsibilities). In the final phase, Phase 4, candidates will work with program directors to complete any outstanding logistical components (i.e. visas, credits, payments). Placement is not guaranteed until a mutual agreement has been reached by both applicant and host company.

EiAbroad values the importance of personal experiences to growing aspiring leaders. Subsequently, in addition to internship placement in our full service program, EiAbroad offers stylish apartment accommodations, multiple excursions, and our innovative private productivity network, The Collective, which includes internship listings, alumni contacts, calendar of events, resume review and networking events.
+ Can I be hired full time?
Yes! Our goal is to help you reach your full potential. We work with you throughout your internship experience to put you in a position to receive a full-time offer. We have a strong track record of students who have received full-time job opportunities after their internship experience.
+ Is airfare Included in the cost of the program?
No, airfare is not included in the cost of the program.
+ Is housing included in the cost of the program?
Housing is included in our full programs only.
+ Is insurance included in the cost of the program?
Yes, insurance is provided for the duration of the program.
+ Are Internships paid?
EiAbroad internships are investments into your professional and personal development. Although most internships are unpaid, the skills gained, relationships built and the opportunities provided will boost your resume and open doors for your future. Some internships may be paid, depending on city and type of internship.
+ Do I need a Visa?
Visa requirements vary by location. Please contact your EiAbroad program director for specific visa related questions.
+ Are Internships Guaranteed?
Internships are guaranteed once accepted into the program.
+ When is payment due?
A non-refundable program deposit is required within 14 days of program acceptance to secure your spot in the program, and to continue the matching process. Full payment is due no later than 60 days prior to the start of the program.
*Payments received after the due date will be assessed a late fee.
+ Is financial aid available?
